Julie Harris is a Denver, Colorado photographer specializing in documentary wedding and portrait photography.

Born and raised in Boulder, Julie has been photographing people, places, and everything else in between since she was 13. An artist above all else, Julie loves what she does and is ever thankful to be able to do it for a living. Julie loves creating outstanding work for clients seeking something artistic, emotional and special.

Julie’s photography combines technical proficiency, patience, intuition, and her unique artistic sensibilities. Whether it’s a child’s inquisitive expression, a newborn infant’s first gasp of air, or an outraged protester stalking the streets of Dublin, Julie goes about her chosen passion and profession with an eye for the moment and a heart for beauty. And Julie’s natural empathy for people helps her capture her subjects in a candid and organic manner. Julie works hard to make her clients feel comfortable enough to let their guards down and be themselves in front of her camera because that is when the best photographs are taken.

Julie was given a camera at age seven and since then has had ‘a burdening passion to use that camera to free herself and her artistic subjects from the constraints of time and space. Julie graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder where she was awarded a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography and a Bachelor of English -Creative Writing.

Julie is married to Jesse and lives in Denver with two cute dogs… Maggie and Pepper.
