Photo Blog by Julie Harris
I love my husband, Paris, hot black coffee, baths, popcorn and junior mints, sunday afternoons when I’m not working, long walks on a cloudy day, rain, fog, snow, Christmas time, the spa, sweatpants, HBO, airports, airport bars, bloody Mary’s, old chairs, Totinos frozen party pizzas, the color blue, Joni Mitchell, Counting Crows, Radiohead, the subway, the perfect fitting jeans, diptique candles, my old 1970 maverick, my Dad’s farm, the smell of my Grandmas house, junk cereal, afternoon naps, laying in the grass, planting tulips, Target, a good book, the time to read a good book, the beach, the smell of baby coppertone sunscreen, down pillows, , arrowhead hunting with my Dad, hotdogs and beer, sleeping in, a long swim, using other people’s toiletries, expensive wine glasses, expensive wine, wine in the box, getting lost when I have all the time in the world, road trips with my friend Marie and Tracy, anything by Baz Luhrmann, slippers, school supplies (i still buy them every year even though i’m not in school), the E nglish country side in the winter, dangly earrings... |

Megan and Ben at Elk Ridge Ranch
September 28, 2009
•Weddings
Ahhhhh! I love my job so freaking much!!! I have really honed in on my “ideal client” over the 7 years that I’ve have been doing this and have certainly found my niche clientele. Megan and Ben are those ideal clients to a “t”. I had so much fun at their wedding—from enjoying the amazing views at the Elk Ridge Ranch, to the tear-jerking vows, and of course meeting, and hanging out with all their hipster friends… The entire day was a delight. And to top it off, I got to celebrate with Megan and Ben and their friends again, the other night at their premier . We went through a handle of Makers and three bottles of wine and had a hoot re-living their ridiculously perfect day. I’m going to say this again… but I’ve had such amazing couples this year! Megan and Ben—Can we be friends??

-awesome work as usual julie!
-I love this set.. The last few candid images are great.
-The colouring in the set of the bride and groom in the field are great too… Your processing is just so great julie..!!
Beautiful!
-Your camera is an eye, watching what most of us may miss, never blinking, never
-teary, undistracted from its task, smiling at wedded bliss. Thankyou seems inadequate.
But I mean it. Dietre, mother.
Oh beautiful and fun pictures of people drinking at a wedding makes me wish that I wasn’t underage and baptist when I got married. *sigh* The next to last picture, Bride and groom laughing…absolutely beautiful! I love it!

-Found your blog and your images are truly amazing and fun. Almost every pictures you captured the laughter and joy of Megan and Ben’s wedding day. Ah, I have so much to learn
-these are absolutely stunning. I am 18 and from Minnesota, I probably wont get married for a good 5 years but I sure hope you are still shooting because you are truly an artist and your shots are beautiful. Like Colorado, Minnesota has beautiful outdoor scenery and I adore your outdoor shots, they are indescribably wonderful. I strongly suggest some Minnesota work:) But seriously, Beautiful.
