Photo Blog by Julie Harris
I love my husband, Paris, hot black coffee, baths, popcorn and junior mints, sunday afternoons when I’m not working, long walks on a cloudy day, rain, fog, snow, Christmas time, the spa, sweatpants, HBO, airports, airport bars, bloody Mary’s, old chairs, Totinos frozen party pizzas, the color blue, Joni Mitchell, Counting Crows, Radiohead, the subway, the perfect fitting jeans, diptique candles, my old 1970 maverick, my Dad’s farm, the smell of my Grandmas house, junk cereal, afternoon naps, laying in the grass, planting tulips, Target, a good book, the time to read a good book, the beach, the smell of baby coppertone sunscreen, down pillows, , arrowhead hunting with my Dad, hotdogs and beer, sleeping in, a long swim, using other people’s toiletries, expensive wine glasses, expensive wine, wine in the box, getting lost when I have all the time in the world, road trips with my friend Marie and Tracy, anything by Baz Luhrmann, slippers, school supplies (i still buy them every year even though i’m not in school), the E nglish country side in the winter, dangly earrings... |

Cristina and Patrick–a perfectly elegant downtown wedding (St. Elizabeth’s cathedral and the Oxford)
July 13, 2009
•Weddings
Pure. Classic. Elegant—These are the words I would use to describe Cristina and Patrick’s wedding. It was if I stepped into an old 1940’s film. From Cristina’s stunning gown, to the delicate bouquet by Stacy of Alexan events . And let’s not forget the ivory Rolls Royce that the couple drove away in…everything was dreamy and romantic. I could have posted another 20 to 40 images, but had to cut it off at some point—guess if you’d like to see more, you’ll have to check out the blog—this may be my new featured wedding, or at least make my website 10 times over. Congratulations, Cristina and Patrick—-I lived vicariously through your gorgeous, timeless romantic wedding.
Is Cristina not a 40’s starlette?

I love this image! The guys are so “poised”– as if somebody told them beforehand to all sit still and fold thier hands in their lap…

These are gorgeous photos. The lighting is beautiful, and I don’t mean only the natural, ambient light. Aside from the photography itself – which is first rate in every respect – whoever processed these images in Photoshop took great care. Colors pop. The tints are perfect. Dodging/Burning is effective and restrained.
There is more than technique displayed here. These photos have heart.
-Please stop taking such gorgeous shots. I get sucked in to your blog and achieve nothing for the morning.
Srsly, these are beautiful. Darling couple, and I could honestly spend hours pouring over and studying your compositions. I’m glad you’re posting more often!
-Just beautiful Julie!
