Photo Blog by Julie Harris
I love my husband, Paris, hot black coffee, baths, popcorn and junior mints, sunday afternoons when I’m not working, long walks on a cloudy day, rain, fog, snow, Christmas time, the spa, sweatpants, HBO, airports, airport bars, bloody Mary’s, old chairs, Totinos frozen party pizzas, the color blue, Joni Mitchell, Counting Crows, Radiohead, the subway, the perfect fitting jeans, diptique candles, my old 1970 maverick, my Dad’s farm, the smell of my Grandmas house, junk cereal, afternoon naps, laying in the grass, planting tulips, Target, a good book, the time to read a good book, the beach, the smell of baby coppertone sunscreen, down pillows, , arrowhead hunting with my Dad, hotdogs and beer, sleeping in, a long swim, using other people’s toiletries, expensive wine glasses, expensive wine, wine in the box, getting lost when I have all the time in the world, road trips with my friend Marie and Tracy, anything by Baz Luhrmann, slippers, school supplies (i still buy them every year even though i’m not in school), the E nglish country side in the winter, dangly earrings... |

Crystal and Fred
April 29, 2009
•Weddings
I’m really starting to get a niche clientele of people who, for lack of a better description, simply love life. They aren’t at all uptight, they play hard, love fiercely, and cry the second there’s a sentimental moment. Crystal and Fred totally sum up this clientele. They are a riot! I had so much fun celebrating their wedding day with them—not only because they are such fun people, but because they have huge hearts that bleed for others and especially for one another. I loved the laughter, loved the tears, and loved the class and style (special thanks to Stacy Pisani of Alexan events) of Crystal and Fred’s wedding. Congratulations, kiddos—I’m ready for that beer with the two of you!
I loved this quiet and tearful moment Crystal’s mom was having while Crystal was getting ready. I think I’m the only one who noticed it at the time…
One block from the chruch, Crystal remembered her garter. No big deal, she just had the limo driver turn around to pick it up. Then she simply put the garter on in the car—which is one of the things I love about this girl—she is so laisse faire! I Love this image!
The wallpaper was seriously so bad with the purple velour couch in the dressing room of Holy Ghost Catherdal, that I couldn’t resist a cheesy bridal photo opp….
….and Fred—well, this was the “meanest” face he could make for me!
We stopped at Civic Center Park for some “bridal party pics”, but there was a protest going on—-so we did what we could. I am particularly fond of this image because of its photojournalistic edge.
Yep—that’s Crystal crawling across the laps of everybody in the limo—what a ham!
I loved Crystal’s Grandparents–check out this sweet Grandpa!
Sweet moment between Crystal and her father dancing….
And of course Fred and Crystal had a rockin’ party at the Comedy Works!—You wouldn’t expect anything less from these two cats!
