I only wish that I would have had somebody photograph me before I was married and while I was living alone in my cute little apartment in the Baker district. That’s kind of what led me to do this shoot of Carrie. Carrie is my esthetician and seriously the best waxer in Denver!! (Call her at Crave Salon if you’re ever in need)! We had talked for awhile about doing some shots of her and her dogs. At first we were thinking something with the fall colors outdoors somewhere, but her dogs aren’t really the outdoorsy type, so we thought about just photographingher on some trail outdoors and hiking—or something like that. But then it dawned on me a couple weeks ago as I was reminiscing about my days as a single gal, that I thought there couldn’t be a more powerful way to photograph Carrie than at her home with her little guys, Monte and Bacon.
Why do we wait for some monumental moment to document our lives? — Chirstmas cards, Engagement photos, weddings, anniversaries, first birthdays, etc, etc? And more importantly, who says that being single and fabulous isn’t a monumental moment in life??
It’s so hillarious—This frog is Bacon’s baby! He carries it around with him wherever he goes. And what’s even funnier is that he grabs it out of his own little box of toys and leaves all the others….
Introducing Bacon and Monte. (Monte is the darker one).
Technically, Carrie has two roomates who do everything with her….

Julie, You picked the best dog to photograph. Pugs have got to be the biggest camera hounds there ever was. I have a goof friend with to pugs, and evey time I go over I leave with some funny photos of them. Miles
