I can’t believe it! Chris is married (He’s a friend of mine, so I can say that)! Amber and Chris were married at the Pavilion at Cheesman Park. I had never done a wedding there before and it was so much fun. It felt like a true Denver wedding. Their ceremony was truly heartfelt and beautifully spiritual. I love it when my couples truly value the ceremony itself. After all—when all is said and done, that’s what counts! (except for that license thing)… Amber looked amazing—Quintessential bride, beautiful, and she beamed all day. Chris didn’t look so bad himself.

Congratulations, you two! Thank you for letting me be a guest at your wedding!

I love this image of Amber with the cross in the background. It really symbolizes that the day for her wasn’t just about her and Chris getting married, but also about the sacredness of the union, with God as the center of it all.

Amber and her father have an amazing bond. He is so special to her… and he almost didn’t make it to the wedding due to his health. In fact, I understand that it was pretty much a miracle that he made it to the wedding let alone walk Amber down the isle and dance with her. Of course this made everything that much more emotional…

I didn’t see Amber’s father cry until their dance together and then his tears just streamed… Amber and her father danced to “Thank you” by Natalie Merchant and she sang the whole song to him as they danced. My tears were flowing too!

… And then Chris’s tears flowed when he danced with his mother. I could barely focus my camera at this point, my eyes were so teary. It was so sweet. I don’t think there was a dry eye in the place after these two dances.

This is Chris’s brother watching Chris and his mother dance.

I’m not sure why I love this image, but I do.

Julie! You are the best! Seriously. I've been to a lot of weddings, seen a lot of photogrpahers, and a lot fo pictures. And not a one of them capture the moment so perfectly like you do! You were the highlight of our little event and I will forever tell everyone I know (just like I have been doing since I met you) to use Julie Harris. It makes me want to get married again just so I can have you stick us on film one more time (maybe without the jazillion family members next time though.) Thanks for everything.
