If I could somehow get insurance to know that I could have a baby as sweet and adorable as Oliver, I think I would go ahead and order about four of them! I had so much fun photographing this family. Oliver was so compliant—he even sat in the grass with no clothes on and just kind of giggled! He never cried, and he made the funniest expressions! And his family just adores him. Look at the expressions on Karen’s face especially when she is with her son… she’s completely overjoyed!

Just so you know, there were no color inhancments here…. Oliver’s eyes are truly this blue!

I just want to nuzzle that soft fuzzy head!

Does this photo not depict the American dream family?

“Through sickness and in health…”

Jenny and I hit it off right away last February when we met to discuss her wedding—I thought she was a darling!! And then when I met Peder just a couple of weeks ago, I knew that they would become more than just clients—I hope to spend a lot more time two cats in the future… So naturally, when Jenny came down with food poisoning on her wedding day, I was heartbroken for her. I’ve never actually had food poisoning, but I have heard that it’s one of the worst things to go through—you’re body is left with nothing, no strength, no water, imbalanced electrolytes, etc, etc. I can’t imagine going through this–let alone on my wedding day in 95 degree heat in a wedding dress. It was awful—just a very unfortunate thing to happen to a bride on her wedding day. However, that being said, I have to also say, that Jenny and Peder’s wedding day in all honesty, was one of the most romantic celebrations I have ever witnessed. If Jenny and Peder’s lives play out anything like their wedding day did, they are going to be incredibly blessed with true, unconditional love. Peder was amazing! Jenny, naturally didn’t make it to most of her reception, but instead of Peder leaving her to tend to his guests, he stayed by his bride and held her hair back. True love! It gives me chills to think about. The sweet way that Peder took care of Jenny was incredible. And Jenny—-What a trooper. I don’t think that anybody would have known that she was sick, had it not been announced. Every time Jenny did make it outside to greet her guests and be a part of her own wedding, she did so with grace and a smile—and she still looked amazing! What a lovely girl…. She showed such strength and intregrity. I have the utmost respect for this couple and their love for one another.

My only wish is that when Jenny and Peder look back on these wedding images, they will remember only the best—the way that they looked at each other, the way that they supported each other (in this case, even physically) and the way that even though it may have not felt like the greatest celebration, everybody was joyfully celebrating the union of these two sweet souls.

Congratulations, Jenny and Peder! I Hope you’re feeling better ;)

Jenny and Peder used The Perfect Petal for all of their flowers, and they were absolutely stunning—The colors were surreal! And Peder apparently has a thing for orchids, so he played a big part in picking out these beauties!

Despite the fact that Jenny was sick, she seemed to light up like a firefly around Peder—like she was still on top of the world!

I love this image—Jenny and Peder are totally consumed with each other—the rest of the world doesn’t even faze them…

Jenny’s Grandma and Peder’s grandma seemed to really hit it off—such Ya Yas!

We had to take the wedding party photos without Jenny and Peder. I thought that they should at least have some documentation of their friends–even if they couldn’t participate. This image shows such joy! They were a great bunch! They really kept the mood of the wedding upbeat, even when Jenny and Peder couldn’t be there.

Another representation of the beautiful orchids!

I loved the way Peder looked at Jenny—with such pride.

Still laughing! Can you believe the grace of this woman?

Jenny and Peder held their reception at the Lumber Baron Inn—my new favorite summer venue!
