I love my husband, Paris, hot black coffee, baths, popcorn and junior mints, sunday afternoons when I’m not working, long walks on a cloudy day, rain, fog, snow, Christmas time, the spa, sweatpants, HBO, airports, airport bars, bloody Mary’s, old chairs, Totinos frozen party pizzas, the color blue, Joni Mitchell, Counting Crows, Radiohead, the subway, the perfect fitting jeans, diptique candles, my old 1970 maverick, my Dad’s farm, the smell of my Grandmas house, junk cereal, afternoon naps, laying in the grass, planting tulips, Target, a good book, the time to read a good book, the beach, the smell of baby coppertone sunscreen, down pillows, , arrowhead hunting with my Dad, hotdogs and beer, sleeping in, a long swim, using other people’s toiletries, expensive wine glasses, expensive wine, wine in the box, getting lost when I have all the time in the world, road trips with my friend Marie and Tracy, anything by Baz Luhrmann, slippers, school supplies (i still buy them every year even though i’m not in school), the E nglish country side in the winter, dangly earrings... |

Jen and Craig 6/23/07
June 27, 2007
•Weddings
What a wonderful couple! Jen and Craig were married Saturday in Breckenridge at Ten Mile Station and then jaunted over in a carriage to the Maggie where they celebrated their union. Jen and Craig were such a blast to photograph because they could have cared less if I was there—they just enjoyed each other so much, that the rest of the world didn’t seem to exist. If there could be a soundtrack to this wedding it would be “I only have eyes for you” by the Flamingos— wish I could rig that for an added entertainment!
The whole day was about Jen and Craig… it always is on a wedding, but these two took an hour and half break between their ceremony and reception, not to take a bunch of posed photos, but to go to a bar in downtown Breck to enjoy each other and a beer. I came along to act as paparazzi, but what fun photos!!
Congratulations, Jen and Craig! Thank you so much for letting me be there to capture some of your most intimate moments….
I love this image of Jen, because it really captures her exuberance!
There ceremony took place at Ten Mile Station, and the venue must have hung a black sheet to hide the back side of the tent—I’m not sure what that is in the background actually, but it created a very dramatic entrance for Jen, with the stark black background and the bright mid-day sun.
Jen and Craig went to the Gold Pan Saloon in downtown Breck after the ceremony to unwind and spend some quite moments together—timeless shot!
I go to a lot of weddings and still tear up quite often, but this father daughter dance may have taken the cake–both my assistant and I were in tears to the point where it was hard to focus the camera enough to get the shot.
This shot was taken outside the Maggie in Breck when the heat let up a bit.
