Meet Zoe and Paige—seriously the cutest little free spirited girls I’ve ever photographed! I could’ve hung out with them all day—I love my job…
Zoe is the brilliant six year old who is so articulate for her age it is intimidating… She was a great leader in the shoot, but not at all bossy and I loved watching her love on her little sister Paige.
Ahhh Paige… What can I say about this little pixie? I would have adopted her on the spot. She has the most whimsical little personality. No rules. No expectations—just pure Paige. She wasn’t about to pose for me — she just was herself and just did her thing. I loved her!!
This was one of my favorite shoots ever! Thanks to Rod and Jesslyn for letting Paige and Zoe just be themselves and for allowing me to capture their innocent little spirits!
The light couldn’t have been better with these white linen dresses! I love the way the sun shines through them. Such a nostalgic image of a childhood summer day.
A Eugene Smith moment…
I love this image of Zoe—she looks so peaceful and content. I want to be six again!
Look at Paige’s face! This sums her up–a little wild child
I love the scabs on Zoe’s knees…
This was my favorite image of the day. I did not tell them to do this. Paige just got “so tired from playing”, that she laid in the grass and just started to sleep. Zoe crawled up next to her… they look like little garden fairies!

Hey Julie, What fun with these two little girls! I love them and the light. It made me want to be a little kid again, playing in the dirt. Outstanding work! Let's get together again soon. Jim
